Mayo Clinic's blood donation centers in Rochester are urgently seeking O- blood donors to help save patients' lives. 

The Mayo Clinic Blood Donation Center put out a plea on Wednesday, asking any O- donors to schedule an appointment and help restock the shelves. 

"We have appointment times open today, tomorrow, Friday, and all throughout next week," the clinic shared. 

Interested donors who do not have O- blood or are unsure about their blood type are still encouraged to donate. 

"Although O- blood is our most immediate need today, life-saving blood products of all types are used in everyday patient care," the clinic wrote. 

Two permanent donor centers are located within the Hilton Building and at Saint Marys Campus.
